Yamashita () created another version in the TR Egi series with Deca needles and tin sinker. What is particularly important for the Yamashita Egi OH King TR () is that it induces a bite with a stable swimming motion that suddenly stops.

The stable posture of the squid jig is very important in creating the conditions for squids to easily catch an Egi. What Yamashita () aimed for was the fusion of the seemingly contradictory elements of “swimming without moving”. The Egi-Oh TR is packed with various features to support a stable swimming posture, so that the Egi will not slalom, or shake when it is time to stop the retrieve and wait for the attack to take place.
