The Baku Baku design utilizes a low center of gravity head shape, that creates a resonance when moving through the water. Its shape also produces a complex flow of water behind the head, which in-turn, creates a unique fish attracting, action from the silicon skirts. During descent, the falling motion of the Tai Rubber jigs provides no discomfort to the prey, since the head sinks first and the skirt follows. It appears natural and lures even weary fish. The slow and straight retrieve is ideal for these jigs, while many strikes will occur away from the bottom.
The Baku Baku jigs, are in essence Free Slide Tai Rubber jigs, with a hydrodynamic shape that allows them to sink quickly to the bottom. Their 3D eyes, striking colors, holographic layer and natural silicone skirts will certainly make an impact. They imitate an injured cephalopod, unable to move quickly and run away from predators.
The Shimano Baku Baku Tai Rubber jigs are available in two different types, depending on the width of their head. Yet they are all versatile, Free Slide models that combine performance with an amazing aesthetics appeal. Their design includes a low center of gravity and a head shape that creates resonance. Its shape produces complex flow of water behind the head, that creates a unique tie rubber action.
Shimano has designed two types of Baku Baku jigs. The Standard version is bulkier and their volume can be noticed easily, from any angle, regardless of depth. At the same time Shimano released the Baku-Baku Flat version. The thin profile of the Flat version, along with its flat surfaces, provides a more hydrodynamic sinking pattern, reducing water resistance especially during retrieval. Therefore, the Flat version becomes ideal in areas with intensive currents, or in depths where you do not wish to use heavy jigs.
Shimano has a true winner here. The Baku Baku are versatile Tai Rubber jigs that can adopt to the particular conditions of certain areas, featuring many advantages. Their colors are impressive and their finishing treatment does not allow them to wear out. They are equipped with 3D eyes and a holographic film, that creates impressive effects. Finally the braid, or leader, are protected against rubbing, as they pass through a metallic cover.
All Shimano Tai Rubber Baku Baku jigs come rigged with Tinsels and Assist Hooks.
