Darting is a very popular retrieving style in soft bait fishing. Jerkbait-type silicone baits come into life, with sharp and constant jerks and twitches that make them dart from place to place and all over, as does a wounded, panicked bait fish. To do that right we need conical shaped, hydrodynamic jig heads with the minimum resistance in the water.

Fish actively feed and, especially during the warmer months of the year, are particularly vulnerable to such presentations. In such a dynamic approach, the secure grip of the lure and the extra eyelet below, are vital technical elements to achieve an attractive presentation with the use of silicon lures.

Shad lures usually have two issues: Tails are being cut off, either from smaller fish, or by this big predator that simply bites them off and then runs away. On the other hand, soft baits tend to slip away from the hook and they get unrigged, due to our jerks and twitches. One hook on the jighead is often not enough and the same goes for LRF, or Spinning. Major Craft has developed two important technical solutions to these issues:

• First it has added an extra gripping claw, to all Bunta Dart Type Jig heads where the silicon lure gets a firm hold
• Secondly, Major Craft has added an extension on the bottom part of the jighead. This extension helps the lure slide in the water, maintain its balance and sink in a stable posture. It also provides for the placement of a second eyelet, where the angler can rig an Assist Hook, a Trable Hook, or a Blade.
