The new Shore Runway range has been designed for fishing especially in the most demanding fields, such as sharp rocks, deep water areas with strong currents, against adverse weather conditions, targeting large prey, with full use of drags.
Xesta’s new line of Shore Runway rods is made of a new generation material, namely ‘Torayca T1100G’, which has been used in all models of this line. This particular material is the new generation of Carbon material, giving a completely different feeling, when casting, when jerking and when battling an opponent.
The Runway series came to complete the rest of Zesta’s line of rods, which until now only included rods for Light Shore Jigging. The new Shore Runway range has been designed for fishing especially in the most demanding fields, such as sharp rocks, deep water areas with strong currents, against adverse weather conditions, targeting large prey, with full use of drags. This range of rods is the result of a careful analysis and study of the rods in terms of their balance and bending curve of the blank. The entire Shore Runway range consists of 3-section rods, with excellent behavior, making their transportation and storage an easy task.
During hard battles and when the rod reaches its maximum bending curve, all the pressure and tension builds up near the spigot joint, with the risk of damage, especially on two sections rods, being a possibility. In 3 section rods, the tensions is equally distributed, reducing this risk of breakage. The main challenge in rods with multiple joints, is for the manufacturer to manage to maintain its bending capacity. Xesta managed to do so even better, maintaining the same bending properties in the blank, and at the same time, increase their strength. In the event of an accident, it is definitely more affordable to buy one section than all three.
All Xesta Runway Shore Jigging rods are equipped with Fuji Sic guides, which are extremely tolerant to seawater corrosion. The distribution of the guides on the blank, is slightly denser near the top and placed closer to the blank, achieving fewer wind knots, both during casting shots and when performing jerks, also gaining stability during casting. In real tests, Xesta field testers have managed to bring to the shore a 30 kg of Yellowtail Tuna and Amberjacks.
Xesta’s Runway rods have been designed and built to handle any big catch the sea will bring your way.
The 10H The Battle Blaze – Rock Shore rod has been built to offer balance when working jigs and large lures. The entire blank of the rod has been designed to have energy and elasticity for continuous jerks on jigs, as well as on large lures. The 3 meter length of the rod makes it easy to handle and great for casting. It is also easy to handle, even to new Shore Jigging enthusiasts. Against fighting catches, the Xesta Runway 10H The Battle Blaze is designed to deliver its power and torque in a way that reduces the strain on the angler’s body and allows for a more consistent fight.
The 97HH The Battle Jerk – Rock Shore Model rod has been designed for rough weather, long casts, targeting very large and difficult catches. The blank of this particular model is designed, despite its power, to reduce physical fatigue during casting ang jigging. This allows the angler to maintain the advantage in long and difficult battles with large catches, picking up the slack with ease, while still keeping pressure on the fish. The 2.9m length of the rod is designed to make quick strikes and ease you into fighting battles with catches.
