The IMA Mooguri 120S, is a sinking Minnow measuring 12 cm in length and weighing 29 gr. It is a different lure, to what we have encountered so far in Spinning fishing. IMA added 5 gr more weight to the sinking Mooguri, compared to the floating version and this resulted in achieving a greater casting distance, but also fishing at a greater depth, hence covering more area.
Its characteristic long lip is what makes a difference compared to other Minnow lures in the market. The almost 33 mm long Mooguri 120S lip, holds exactly the amount of water needed to lower it to depths between 1 to 2.7 meters. At the same time, its design is so detailed and well thought of, that does not cause much resistance to the rod during retrieve. The Ima Mooguri 120S lip is an extension of the lures body, so it will tolerate accidental bumps on rocky structures.
With a steady retrieve, the Mooguri 120S will rush towards the bottom, until it reaches the desired depth with a combined intense Wobbling and Rolling movement. During pauses, the Mooguri 120S will sink slowly towards the bottom.
The distance that the Mooguri 120S will cover during casting, is further assisted by the MRD technology. The patented MRD technology (Magnetic Rebound Driving), offers the IMA Mooguri 120S an impressive ability to make long casts. The MRD (Magnetic Rebound Driving) system features a moving piston on a steel shaft, inside the body of the lure. The position of the piston is controlled by the use of two magnets. At the moment of casting, the piston moves to the back of the lure and remains there, helping the lure to take off and reach as far as possible. After casting and with the first jerk, the piston is detached from the rear magnet, transferred and stabilized to the front, putting the lure at the desired angle.
The Mooguri 120S can also be fished from the boat, either with Boat Spinning, or with Light Trolling in shallow areas, targeting Dentex and Barracudas.
